Running some YouTube content and want to keep an eye on it from right within your Notion pages?
With this tutorial, you'll learn how to embed YouTube analytics into Notion, creating a customizable dashboard to visualize your data.
To get started, you'll need to make a copy of the YouTube Analytics Template in your Notion workspace. To do this, click on the 'YouTube Analytics Template' link, then select 'Make A Copy'. This will create a copy of the template in your Notion account, which you can then customize and use for your own analytics tracking.
Create a copy of the Data Studio dashboard template.
Next, you'll want to choose which data visualization boxes you'd like to include in your dashboard. To do this, hold down the Shift key and click on each box individually to select them. You can choose as many or as few as you'd like, depending on the data you want to track.
Once you've selected the data visualization boxes you'd like to include, head into the 'Data' column of the side menu and select 'Sample Data'. This will open another menu, at the bottom select 'Add data'.
Now it's time to connect your YouTube account to your dashboard. Scroll down the menu of apps to find 'YouTube'. Follow the prompts to authorize access to your YouTube data, and you'll be all set!
Once you've connected your YouTube account, check that the data is coming through as expected. You should see your YouTube analytics data displayed in the data visualization boxes you selected earlier. If you don't see the data you're expecting, double-check that you've properly connected your YouTube account and that you've selected the correct data visualization boxes.
Copy the embed URL to your clipboard, as you'll need it in the next step.
Navigate back to your Notion page and paste the embed URL into the page. After pasting the link, select 'Create embed' from the menu that appears. This will create an interactive display of your YouTube analytics stats within Notion.
Lastly, resize your dashboard to fit your desired layout and you're all set! You now have a fully-functional YouTube analytics dashboard within Notion.
